Meet Dr. Skaggs
Founder of Mountain States Veterinary Services
Dr. Skaggs grew up in a small rural town in eastern Kansas and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. After completing a year-long post doctoral internship at a large specialty center in the PNW Dr. Skaggs practiced general medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine in Washington state for almost 20 years prior to moving to Colorado. Dr. Skaggs has resided in beautiful Chaffee County since 2022. When not working Dr. Skaggs can usually be found hiking in the mountains with her two dogs, listening to live music, or exploring the United States on her motorcycle.
